VRCLogger: The Rebirth of VRCGuardian Angel (VRCGA)
VRCLogger is the rebirth of VRCGuardian Angel (VRCGA), carrying forward its legacy with enhanced features and support. With Banlogger shutting down on March 5th, 2025, VRCLogger will step in as an alternative, offering both a bot and a client-side logger, alongside a backend API to maintain moderation capabilities in VRChat.
As part of ensuring the sustainability of this project, VRCLogger will be available as an open-source solution, but due to the costs associated with maintaining global servers and ban lists, access to the global services will require a $5 USD monthly subscription via GitHub Sponsors. This will help keep the project active and support its ongoing development.
Banlogger Shutdown – March 5th, 2025
The Decision is made, screw this, I am done with the grief of VR Chat. March 5th is the last day I will perform any activity for BL, the Server API will shut down, the BL Remote will sorta work, but will not get known groups, known avatars or the User’s moderation history. Anything that has been archived can be exported for your owners, but I will give Exports only 5 days to download before I erase the archives. Some of you have 200-300gb of evidence data to download. I can export your audit Log with join, kick, warn and ban events with the tags captured. Any reqest after the EOD 5th will be unable to fulfill as the purge processes will be in full force for the uncompressed data. The only thing that can save BL is VRC hiring me with 1 year back pay for the work we put into trying to keep the system clean, and you know those that ‘Lead with their Behinds’ have no intention to hire anyone with a half a brain. My suggestion to you, cancel your VRC+, Maybe they will listen when a few thousand members give up at a time.
